“Birgitt has been working with me twice a week for three months. I am in my mid-50s and have osteoarthritis, as well as spinal stenosis. Initially, I was reluctant to have anyone “train” me. I did not want to cause my body any additional pain! At the same time, I knew that if I didn’t keep moving, my physical condition would continue to deteriorate at what was an alarming rate.
I am very happy to report that through Birgitt’s training and encouragement, I am much stronger in my abs, arms, legs, and back. I am also able to ride my bicycle again—an activity that I missed terribly.
There are some days when I report to our sessions in a lot of pain. Birgitt watches how I am walking and talks with me about where I am hurting. She gives me exercises to do that address those areas. I always leave our sessions feeling better than when I arrived.
